01 / Water
The infinity pool, from first light to blue hour.
The resort’s central pool is less a feature than a daily compass. Its long ocean-facing edge gives swimmers a clear horizon, while stepped decks create room for both conversation and quiet.

What to expect
The main basin is designed for leisurely lengths rather than serious training. A broad shallow shelf suits children and anyone who prefers to sit in the water; the deeper central section gives adults enough room to swim comfortably. Entry steps are gentler than a ladder, and loungers sit close enough for easy access without crowding the waterline.
Because the pool faces the Atlantic, wind can change the feel of the deck. Mornings are usually calmer and best for uninterrupted swimming. Around midday, the pale stone reflects heat, so a shaded lounger or a short break beneath the umbrellas is worthwhile. The west-facing side becomes the social centre after 16:00, when the pool bar begins serving chilled drinks.
Pool etiquette and practicalities
Bring a reusable bottle, use the supplied rinse points and keep glass away from the water. Pool towels are available from the attendant station; ask for a fresh one rather than leaving used towels on an unoccupied lounger. Families will find the shallow shelf useful, but children should remain supervised because the pool transitions quickly to deeper water.
There is no substitute for checking the day’s conditions. Strong coastal wind may mean fewer inflatables and a shorter swim. Guests with limited mobility should request assistance before arrival so the team can explain the most comfortable route from the lobby and identify accessible changing facilities.
Pros, trade-offs and best timing
- Best for: horizon views, relaxed swimming, sunset drinks and photographs without leaving the property.
- Less ideal for: lap swimmers seeking marked lanes or guests who need a fully sheltered pool.
- Best value: shoulder-season mornings, when the deck is quieter and temperatures remain comfortable.
In high summer, reserve neither a lounger nor your whole day around the pool. The Algarve is at its most rewarding when water time is balanced with a coastal walk, a shaded lunch and a late return for the final light.
